CAT Scale Company recently announced that its Weigh My Truck application is now available for the iPhone and iPad. The Weigh My Truck app is free to download and use at this time. Registration is also free. Drivers can create an account online that stores basic truck information and email preferences as well as keep a record of past weigh transactions.

The new Weigh My Truck app allows drivers to weigh their truck, pay for the transaction via PayPal and get the weights displayed on their smartphone without ever leaving the cab. The app will also email a PDF copy scale ticket or weight information text file to up to five email addresses the driver specifies. If a driver needs a hard copy scale ticket, they can still pick up a printed CAT Scale ticket at the fuel desk within an hour after weighing using the Weigh My Truck application.

According to the official website “Weigh My Truck,” there are currently no additional charges from CAT Scale for using Weigh My Truck. A first weigh is $10.50 and a qualifying reweigh is $2.

CAT Scale states that your weight will be official, but electronic copies of weigh tickets are not recognized as certification of weight so make sure to pick up the printed ticket at the fuel desk. (Note: the Weigh My Truck app cannot be used to obtain a certified weight in California).

More information about the new Weigh My Truck app, it can be found online at the official website http://www.weighmytruck.com. Weigh My Truck is available on the Google Play Store and also on the Apple App Store.

CAT Scale currently has around 1,550 locations in the U.S. and Canada. The company is expected to add more scales in the near future.
