Pros For The Uniden Digital Mobile Scanner

Again, we really enjoyed reviewing the Uniden digital scanner. This Uniden scanner is packed with great features, several we already discussed. When it comes to scanner technology, the Uniden BCD996X digital scanner is packed with it. From GPS support to Truck Tracker lV technology, it’s the perfect gift for scanner enthusiast or for those who have a need for a premium scanner.

Weather Scan gives you weather updates in your local area. Very useful out in Central U.S.A. Service Search is another cool feature, allows you to get local signals. The GPS capabilities were awesome. Once programmed, the radio can turn systems on and off based on the location your GPS provides. This is extremely helpful for those of you that travel regularly.

The Uniden Digital Scanner can take some time to configure and get to know. I’m familiar with scanners, so I worked my way around pretty well. But if you’re new to scanners or technology that exist in the BCD996X scanner, you need to take the time to read the manual through and through. If you don’t, you’ll miss out on a lot.

Cons For The Uniden Digital Mobile Scanner

We had to really dig deep to find flaws in this mobile scanner. It’s such a well designed scanner. And for the price, features and technology you get, we feel it’s well worth the cost. The thing I worry about the most is others learning how to program the scanner to enjoy all the features. It can be confusing and it’s a common gripe we see with other reviews. However, if you read your manual line for line, you’ll learn how to program and fine tune it.

Again, do you research and get to know this scanner model. It can be tough but if we can do it, you can.

Overall Judgement On The BCD996X Digital Mobile Scanner

After carefully consideration and hours reviewing this product with our team, we highly recommend the BCD996X Uniden digital mobile scanner. Again, we ruled 4.8 stars out of 5 stars. Difficulty of use is 7 out of 10. But you can learn how to program it and once you learn it, you’ll have some fun.
