The 29 LTD CHR is an great addition to professional drivers appeal to chrome in the cab. The 29 is manufactured based on the original design which has been known for performance and durability. Professional driver-requested improvements have been made thru-out the years to continue to enhance performance and durability with style continuing the un-matched Cobra tradition. The major features include SWR Calibration with warning indicator to adjust and monitor the antenna system. RF Gain and Dynamike boost for loud and clear communication. Classic An Analog Signal Meter that that swings proportionally to the level of incoming receive and out-going transmit signals. The meter also illustrates The standing Wave Ratio of the antenna system.

Pros Of The Cobra 29 LTD CB

There’s a number of different things that we liked about the Cobra 29 CB radio. Personally, we were impressed by several things, but especially the sound quality of the CB. You get a lot of noise in the truck but the Cobra CB does a great job canceling out the noise of the truck and outside world. This CB radio allows you to talk hands free. You do have the option to add a bluetooth if you wish or any other mic you may want to work with. It’s one of the best CBs on the market.

Bluetooth works great. When we were calling out, transmissions were loud and clear. What you want in a CB of course. If you have a strong signal, you’ll have clear voices. And pointing back to the background noise, we called home and they thought we were parked and calling from the cell phone. You do get great clear sounds.

I love the new look. The Cobra 29 is decked out in chrome. I received a lot of praise from other drivers with the look. With the Cobra 29 CB radio, you get SWR Calibration. This allows to calibrate the antenna to get the best signal possible. You also get an antenna warning light just in case the antenna needs to be checked, it’ll let you know. Be careful where you mount your CB, make sure you have it in an optimal spot for the best performance.

We think the overall price is also a benefit. When you buy Cobra, you know you’re getting quality.

Cons Of The Cobra 29 LTD CB

While we did like several of the features and performance of the Cobra 29 LTD CB radio, we did have a few things that we didn’t like. One of the biggest issues is the sound volume going out. While we could hear everyone talking to us loud and clear, others could not hear us as clear. It’s not terrible but average at best. The mic did offer a great solution to this, I will say that.

More than likely, you need to pick you up a bluetooth to get the best out of the Cobra 29 CB radio. You’ll also need to calibrate your CB for the best performance, I really don’t mind it but it’s nice hen you can hook it up and go. It doesn’t take much though, but will still need to be done.
