When it comes to some of Apple’s best products, the Apple iPad Mini has to rank in the top 5. I’ve been wanting to get an Apple iPad Mini 16GB for a year now (for the sake of a review) and I finally broke down and bought one a few weeks ago. We’ve reviewed dozens of products here at Truckers Logic. We always give our honest opinions about each product. After a few weeks of giving it a try, I’m high on the Apple iPad Mini.
The iPad Mini Has An Incredible Picture
One of the main features that I love about the iPad Mini is the picture quality. It doesn’t get any better than this. The Apple iPad Mini has a gorgeous screen. Everything displaying is crystal clear. It has 1024-by-768 Resolution. I’ve tried other devices, not exactly like the iPad Mini, but close in some ways. I’ve tested the Google tablet prior, it had a great picture, but not of this quality.
The 7.9 inch screen is great. I don’t like smaller screens, that’s just me. I probably wouldn’t go any lower than a 7 inch.
Apple iPad Mini Is Fast
For those of you wondering, the Apple iPad Mini is super quick. It breezes through the processing actions. I can have several windows open at once and it still goes super quick. I had no problem playing games, downloading or taking pictures.
16GB Has Plenty Of Storage
For those of you wondering what storage options you have, this Apple iPad Mini is the 16GB. If you like to do a lot of downloading, 16GB gives you a lot of storage. You can store all your pictures and videos with ease. Now, if you like to store thousands of pictures, videos and games, you should likely go with the iPad Mini 32GB. But if you store things here and there, the 16 GB is good size storage.
The iPad Mini Is Not A Hand-Me Down Of The Full Size iPad
Don’t think that you’re getting less quality or features with the Apple iPad Mini when compared to the full size iPad. The last thing you’re getting is less quality. This iPad Mini can do nearly everything that the Apple iPad can do.
Apple iPad VS Apple iPad Mini
First, let’s compare hardware specs between iPad mini and iPad, and what each means.
* Device: iPad mini vs. iPad
* Weight: 0.68 lbs vs. 1.44 lbs — over twice as light as the iPad
* Thickness: 0.28″ (7.2mm) vs. 0.37″ (9.4mm) — thin as an iPod touch
* Display: 163 vs. 264 pixels per inch — less-crisp text, but equally long life for a smaller battery
* Resolution: 1024 x 768 vs. 2048 x 1536 — half as many pixels as the current iPad, but still sharper than an iPad 2
* Battery: 10 hours (16.3 Wh) vs. 10 hours (45 Wh) — smaller, lighter battery lasts just as long as the iPad
* Processor: A5 (dual core) vs. A6X (dual core with quad core graphics) — same as the new iPod touch, but not quite as powerful as the latest iPad, yet it doesn’t need to be because the iPad mini display totes a quarter as many pixels!
* Price: The iPad mini has a price tag that is indeed much more attractive than the 10″ iPad. It’s actually closer to that of the iPod touch.
What Can You Do With The iPad Mini?
Naturally, there are things you can do with the iPad mini right out of the box. You can browse the Web with Safari, set up your email, download your photos and videos from your computer via iTunes, as well as shoot new photos and videos using either of the two built in cameras. You can also surf YouTube via Apple’s built-in YouTube app.
There’s also an iPod built in, so you can listen to your favorite tunes via the Music app, or download new music, movies and media via the iTunes app. Another popular app is iBooks, which lets you download and read e-books on your iPad mini. You can also jot notes, manage your calendar and contacts. You can even chat face-to-face with other Apple-device users via FaceTime.

Final Thought On The Apple iPad Mini 16GB
After all is said and done, I would highly recommend the Apple iPad Mini to anyone. I like it better than the Apple iPad. For me, the Apple iPad is way to big, I like having a portable device and the Apple iPad is perfect for that. On top of that, the Apple iPad Mini has a great price. There’s few things that it can do. And with the holidays again approaching, this is a great opportunity to give someone a gift I’m sure they’ll love.
